Dear Rochester Deaf Awareness Week Supporter, The radio station, Family Life Network, 94.7 has prepared a one minute-long news story on Rochester’s Deaf Awareness Week to be broadcast in our newscasts on Friday, September 19, prior to the kick-off event for the week of festivities. If all goes as planned, the feature story should air on the Family Life Network on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 during the FLN Noon Report, most likely between 12:20 and 12:35. We plan to rebroadcast the story that evening during our Family Night programming, around 7:25 p.m. The feature story includes an audio clip conversation of Steve Lovi from the Deaf Awareness Week planning through Sprint Relay Services. It also includes portions of an interview recorded with Susan Trien who works at the Strong National Museum of Play as part of their Children's Deaf Awareness Day events. If you would like to refer people to the feature story, please let them know that in Rochester people can tune in to the Family Life Network at 94.7 FM. They also have the option of listening to the radio network online by going to the Family Life Network website at FLN.org. Starting the next day the story will also be available as a podcast on our website. To access the podcast:
